Hammerdown BBQ is a classic rustic BBQ spot with meats made fresh to order each day. This local favorite offers a variety of sides made from scratch with local ingredients alongside sliced brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage, chicken, and racks of ribs. Hammerdown BBQ’s delicious smoked meats are paired with an ever-changing lineup of local beers and wines. Stone Ridge Village Center features eight restaurants and cafes plus fitness studios, medical centers, shops, and services. Ciro’s Ristorante is a standout here for flavorful Italian pasta dishes and pizza. The Aldie General Store & Café has breathed new life into a vintage general store in the center of the historic village of Aldie. The revamped café here serves tasty international dishes while the store sells everything from local produce and grocery items to Loudoun County wines.
Things to Do
Aldie Fall Harvest Festival is a traditional annual celebration in Aldie featuring vendors selling arts and crafts, foods, and antiques. The mill is the centerpiece of Aldie Mill Historic Park. Built between 1807 and 1809, the Aldie Mill was once the largest of its kind in Loudoun County and is now one of the best-preserved historic mills in Virginia. The mill retains much of its original equipment and its two large metal waterwheels are still fully operational. Aldie, Stone Ridge, and Willowsford are nestled within Loudoun County Wine Country with many outstanding vineyards nearby. Quattro Goombas offers a winery, craft beer brewery, and kitchen in a picturesque country setting. Visitors can sample expertly crafted local wines, 20 craft beer taps, and delicious signature pizzas from the kitchen.
